THE FEDERATION OF ARAB NEWS AGENCIES (FANA) ENDED THE 33RD GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING HERE ON WEDNESDAY STRESSING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF EXPOSING TERRORISM ISSUES. AT THE END OF THE TWO-DAY SESSION, FANA SECRETARY GENERAL FAREED AYAR TOLD A PRESS BRIEFING THAT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING HAVE COME OUT WITH SIGNIFICANT RESOLUTIONS PERTAINING TO THE ARAB MEDIA ACTION. HE SAID PLANS HAD BEEN APPROVED TO ORGANIZE A NUMBER OF INTELLECTUAL SEMINARS TO SHED LIGHT ON TERRORISM AS A NEW CHALLENGE FACING THE ACTION OF THE ARAB NEWS AGENCIES. HE STRESSED NECESSITY TO FIGHT THE SO-CALLED INTELLECTUAL TYPE OF TERRORISM BY SPREADING KNOWLEDGE AND HIGHLIGHTING THE ISSUE WITHIN THE ARAB SOCIETY.
