Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry, and accompanying delegation arrived today in Geneva to lead his country's delegation to the meetings of the General Assembly of the World Trade Organization scheduled for the organization's headquarters tomorrow. Yamani is also scheduled to present the documents pertaining to the accession of his country to the WTO before being accredited in an official ceremony. He was received at Geneva International airport by Dr. Abdulwahab bin Abdulsalam Attar, Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva. Saudi Arabia's official admission to the WTO is scheduled to be announced during the 6th ministerial conference of the WTO scheduled for Hong Kong from 13-18 December 2005. On that day, Saudi Arabia will become a full member of the WTO.
