Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Ali bin Awwadh Assiri has pointed out that the assistance provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to the Pakistani people affected by the devastating earthquake which recently hit Pakistan is considered as an extension to the Kingdom's human relief to the affected people all over the world and as an emphasis on the humanitarian world message of Islam. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, he noted the King's directives to all Saudi humanitarian and governmental bodies to send a special team to Pakistan to be informed of the actual needs, adding that Saudi planes loaded with relief materials, medical requirements and tents came first to Pakistan. Assiri indicated that the embassy's role has been the facilitation of the mission of committees coming from the Kingdom to hold meetings with the Pakistani government to deliver assistance to the needy people.
