A Greek intercity train bound for Athens derailed near the northern city of Thessaloniki on Thursday, catching fire and injuring some passengers, a regional fire brigade official told Reuters. "The train has been derailed. There is a small fire that should be put under control fairly soon and there are some injuries," he said. He did not know if there were any fatalities or if passengers were still trapped inside the coaches.
