Quds city, Oct 10, SPA -- A summit between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas tentatively scheduled for this week was postponed on Monday until the end of the month, an Abbas aide said. Sharon and Abbas had both said there was no point holding the meeting, the first since Israel completed its pullout from the Gaza Strip, if it was not going to deliver substantial results. The summit had been due to take place on Tuesday after it was postponed from Oct. 2 amid a surge of violence and because of a lack of preparation, Reuters reported.
