GCC electric linkage contracts awarded

In a meeting held here today at their headquarters, the board of directors of the electric linkage commission of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries approved a recommendation to award contracts of the first phase of the electric linkage projects to six companies with a total value of USD1,079,040,735.
The first phase of the GCC electric grid will link Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
