Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Assir Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Arab Thought Foundation (ATF), and the Lebanese Minister of Information Mr. Ghazi Al-Aridi co-held here today a press conference to highlight the general conference of ATF scheduled for Beirut tomorrow. At the outset of the conference, Al-Aaridi delivered a speech in which he welcomed the audience and thanked the Prince for his efforts in serving Arab thought and culture. In turn, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal expressed pleasure of this occasion. He paid tribute to former Lebanese Prime Minister late Rafig Al-Hariry for his support for the foundation financially and incorporeally. In addition, he thanked government officials and intellectuals of Lebanon for encouraging and supporting the mutual Arab cultural work. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal also clarified that tomorrow's conference will tackle the the issue of translation under the title :"Translation Forum in the Arab World: Reality and Expectations" which aims at enhancing the work of translation institutes in Arab world and raising the performance level in this field. --More 2308 Local Time 2008 GMT
