Talks on North Korea's nuclear program entered a critical stage Sunday as host China struggled to win support for a proposal to let Pyongyang keep a civilian atomic energy program after it disarms, saying the negotiations would extend another day _ but end soon. "The talks are drawing to an end," the official Xinhua News Agency reported, citing Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao, after head of the six delegations met twice Sunday morning. Xinhua gave no explanation, saying only that envoys would meet again Monday. It was not clear if that would be the last day of this round of talks. "We'll see where we are at the end of the day," U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said earlier Sunday as he left his hotel.
