Pakistani forces supported by helicopters arrested at least eight suspected militants on Monday at a tribal town near the Afghan border, intelligence and army officials said. The arrests were made in raids in the lawless region of North Waziristan: two from a home in the main town of Miran Shah, and six others, including a foreigner, in the nearby village of Dandi Darpakhel, a senior army official was quoted as saying by The Associated Press.
