Dr. Aydah Ibrahim Alaqeel, a Saudi female pediatrician and genetic diseases consultant at the Armed Forces Hospital in Riyadh and Senior Researcher at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, has been awarded the Distinguished Scientist Prize, a renowned international title given by the International Conference on Genetic Diseases and Research held by the European Association for Human Genetics. Dr. Aydah was awarded the title in recognition of the distinction of her research on medical ethics and genetics: an Islamic perspective among 1300 research submitted at the event. Dr. Aydah has an interesting rich history of regional and international prizes and titles, awarded by universities in Egypt, Kuwait, China, U.S.A and Europe, in the field of genetics.
