An earthquake jolted northeastern Japan Sunday morning, leaving two people with minor injuries, according to officials and media reports. The magnitude 5.0 quake at 11:29 a.m. (0229 GMT Sunday) was centered in the northeastern state of Niigata at a "shallow" depth underground, the Meteorological Agency said.
