Four schoolchildren and four teachers were killed and several injured when their bus was hit by a lorry on the return journey from Victoria Falls in northwestern Zimbabwe, state radio reported Friday. It said the accident occurred on the road linking Victoria Falls to Bulawayo city, but without saying when. The children and teachers were from Nyatsanza Primary School in eastern Zimbabwe. "Due to the gravity of the accident, it has been declared a state disaster," the radio reported. An unconfirmed number had been injured.
