Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Bin Ameen Madani met here today with the heads of The Saudi Press Agency (SPA)'s offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad, in the presence of SPA's Acting Director General Abdulaziz Bin Saad Al-Ghamdi. Madani toured SPA's news, technical and administrative departments including local desk, foreign desk, The English and French service, translation, information center, computer department, photographic section, maintenance, Monitoring section, and photographs labs. During the meeting, he discussed means of developing the work of different departments and the abilities of its staff members. He reviewed with SPA's personnel the obstacles in their press work and focused on the vocational training and the necessity of qualifying the employees to deal with modern technologies which are the main feature of successful news agencies all over the world.
