Cultural officials from Pakistan and India opened talks on Tuesday on promoting cultural ties and other contacts, and on easing visa procedures. A seven-member Indian delegation arrived in Pakistan on Monday for the two-day meeting in the capital, Islamabad, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammed Naeem Khan said. "They will be focusing on developing friendly exchange in various fields, including people-to-people contacts, art and culture, education, youth affairs and sports," Khan said. The two sides will also discuss media cooperation, promoting tourism, ensuring the welfare of each other's prisoners in either country and opening more religious sites for pilgrims from Pakistan and India, he said.
