Quds city, July 17, SPA -- Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Sunday he ordered the Israeli security establishment to put down a recent round of Palestinian violence, saying there are no restrictions on the army's operations. "I spoke to the heads of the defense establishment and repeated my order and informed them that there are no limitations on our operations," Sharon told Cabinet ministers at the start of a weekly meeting. Sharon's comments came as Israeli forces massed along the Gaza border after a weekend of Palestinian mortar and rocket fire on Jewish settlements in Gaza and Israeli towns along the border, The Associated Press reported.
