The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the International Islamic Charitable Organization are currently holding a six-day national training session for teachers of Arabic and Islamic culture in Philippines. This training session, which benefits 30 teachers from all regions of Philippines, is convened in cooperation with the Women League in Mindanao, according to a press release of ISESCO issued here today. The session primarily focuses on potentials and abilities of trainers in teaching Arabic to Muslim children, enriching their educational and academic knowledge and expertise and informing them on new curricula and methods followed in teaching Arabic. It also concentrates on teaching the four linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), on providing training in assessing small class courses and illustrating ways of evaluation and follow-up. ISESCO will be represented in this session by an educational expert and professor in the Tetouan School of Professors School in Morocco, Ahmed Mokhtar El-Zebakh.
