Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received at his palace in Riyadh today visiting Portugal's National Defense Minister Dr. Luis Amado. At the outset of the meeting, Prince Sultan welcomed his guest, wishing him good stay and calling for continual exchange of high-level officials visits between the two sides. During the meeting, Prince Sultan sent his greetings to the president and to the prime minister of Portugal. On his part, the visiting minister conveyed to Prince Sultan the greetings of the Prime Minister of Portugal and invited him to visit Portugal at the earliest convenience. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual concern as well as the latest developments at the regional and international arenas and reviewed cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs; Dr. Nizar bin Obeid Madani, Assistant Foreign Minister; General Salih bin Ali Almohayya, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces; and senior officials. On the Portuguese side, the meeting was attended by the Portuguese Defense Minister's accompanying delegation.
