The International Criminal Police Organization, INTERPOL, has named Dr Abdulaziz bin Saqr Al-Ghamidi, the President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, as member of the experts consultative committee of INTERPOL. In a statement to SPA, Dr Al-Ghamidi said 'following this development, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences will be the only organization capable of addressing delegations of 190 countries at the general assembly of INTERPOL, due to be held in September 2006 in Berlin for the first time. 'This development embodies the distinguished status of Naif University and the good reputation it has earned at the international arena', he said. Dr Al-Ghamidi pointed out that the University carried out this year various training programs in Czech, France, Germany, Spain and Austria in addition to the training programs it has been carrying out in the Arab countries. INTERPOL's consultative experts committee aims at the development of INTERPOL's strategic plans as well as enhancing the international police cooperation in the field of combating crime.
