President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva replaced three ministers on Wednesday in a reshuffle widely seen as an attempt to counter the effects of a corruption scandal by bringing more allies into government. Lula named Silas Rondeau, president of federal power holding Eletrobras, as mines and energy minister to replace interim minister Mauricio Tolmasquim. He appointed new health and communications ministers as well and will announce more changes to his Cabinet on Friday, spokesman Andre Singer said, according to Reuters.
