The ministers of transportation of The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) countries started here today their 9th meeting. At the outset, Bahraini Minister of Transportation and the Chairman of the meeting Sheikh Ali Bin Khalifah Al Khalifah, addressed the meeting saying that the agenda includes a number of important issues such as the linkage between Gulf countries through railways and highways as well as the integration in the procedures of moving commodities. On behalf of the GCC Secretary General, its Assistant Secretary General for economic Affairs Mohammed Al-Mazro'ai delivered a speech in which he said that the meeting will discuss a number of important issues such as establishing railways between Gulf countries, overcoming the difficulties of transportation, and studying the project of setting a data base of the transportation sector at the GCC General Secretariat. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
