A South Korean soldier stationed along the Korean demilitarized zone has gone on a shooting rampage, killing 8 of his colleagues, the nation's defense ministry has reported. Eight were killed and two were wounded in the Sunday morning spree, which occurred at Yonchon, a border station along the demilitarized zone that divides the two Koreas. The alleged attacker, who was taken into custody for questioning, fired several rounds from a gun and threw a grenade into the barracks where the soldiers were sleeping. The demilitarized zone is the world's most heavily fortified border, with almost two million troops facing each other on either side of the 248-km (151-mile) line, according to a report of CNN.
