A helicopter crashed into New York City's East River on Friday, the second such crash this week, according to broadcast news reports carried by dpa. There were five people on board, and four were seen on the dock just south of the United Nations headquarters, laying on stretchers, Cable News Network reported, citing N.Y. city police officials. In Tuesday's incident, a sightseeing helicopter with seven people onboard crashed, and federal authorities said that all were rescued. That helicopter made a hard landing on the river apparently after encountering rotor trouble. --SP 0037 Local Time 2137 GMT
