An official source at the Ministry of Interior announced that security authorities have unmasked a number of attacks and armed burglaries in Jeddah last year and stated that five Chadian criminals of a gang of the deviating group have been arrested and measures will be completed to refer them to a religious court after they have confessed their crimes committed in Jeddah during the second half of 1425H. The source noted that the criminals have perpetrated their crimes to finance their malicious goals and added that the tools of the crimes including arms and means of transportation have been seized. He pointed out that three of them shot and killed a French resident in Jeddah on 11/8/1425H., noting that they used a rented car with a false card. The incident was announced at that time. They also seized money by force from the British Airways Office in Jeddah on 10/7/1425H. after threatening seven employees by machine guns, the source added. The source indicated that the gang individuals started their criminal plans on 23/6/1425h when three of them seized money and prepaid phone cards from MEED Marketing Center in Jeddah after threatening the center's laborer by a machine gun. Again they raided another MEED branch in Jeddah on 11/7/1425H and seized money and cards. One of the gang shot at a resident near a bank in Jeddah on 14/7/1425H., but it resulted in no injury, the source concluded.
