India's prime minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said his nation will discuss with Pakistan the possibility of opening a second road link. Addressing a public rally after laying the foundation stone for a 44-megawatt power project in the Kargil district of Indian-controlled Kashmir, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said he was "aware of (the) demand for linking Kargil with Baltistan and Gilgit on the Pakistani side," according to the Press Trust of India. In April, India and Pakistan started a bus service linking Srinagar, the summer capital of India's Jammu-Kashmir state, with Muzaffarabad.
