Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Ameen Madani left Cairo today following a several day official visit during which he led the Saudi delegation to the 38th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council. During the visit, Madani also met with President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and discussed with him matters of concern to the two countries, particularly ways of enhancing cooperation in the fields of culture and information. Madani also conferred with the Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa and reviewed with him issues pertaining to the reform of the AL, the Palestinian cause, dialogue among civilizations and confronting anti-Arab western fierce media campaign. At Cairo International airport, Madani was seen off by First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Anwar Jalal and Saudi Permanent Representative to the AL Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan and senior Egyptian officials.
