The Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani, announced the Kingdom's donation of $ 100,000 to modernize the infra-structure of Palestinian information establishments and another sum of $ 100,000 to finance social studies on the suffering of Palestinian families and children under occupation. Addressing the 38th session of Arab information ministerial council held here today, he called on the council to adopt the proposal of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard to set up an International Counter-terrorism Center. Minister Madani cited the Crown Prince as saying at his inaugural speech at the International Counter-terrorism Conference held in Riyadh that terrorism does not differentiate between civilizations, religions and regimes and it has nothing to do with a civilization or a religion. The Crown Prince noted that Islam is the religion of mercy. The Minister of Culture and Information stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the country of Islam and peace and has been strongly confronting all forms of extremism and terrorism.
