Government forces killed at least five suspected rebels during a raid on their hide-out in India's Jammu-Kashmir state on Sunday, police said. Army and police were searching for another three suspected guerrillas believed to be hiding in the forested area near Jamola-Kha, a village 170 kilometers (105 miles) north of Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu-Kashmir state, said V. K. Singh, deputy inspector-general of police. One army soldier was wounded in the gun battle, Singh told The Associated Press.
