Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari arrived in Ankara Thursday night on an official visit - the first trip abroad for the new prime minister since he took office last month. Al-Jaafari's was scheduled to meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other ministers on Friday and Saturday. A Turkish Foreign Ministry official told reporters al-Jaafari's talks would include reconstruction, bilateral ties and security for Turkish workers - especially truck drivers - working in Iraq. The Turkish side is also likely to bring up the issue of the presence in northern Iraq of rebels from the Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) that have recently stepped up attacks inside Turkey. The Iraqi premier is be accompanied by a number of ministers including those in charge of oil, electricity, industry and water. ---SP 2336 Local Time 2036 GMT
