Saudi Arabia has delivered a new tranche of relief assistance to the Indonesian province of Aceh within the framework of Saudi Relief aid for this province which was hit recently by an earthquake and Tsunami waves. The entire Saudi relief assistance, comprising three installments, is comprised of 29 containers weighing 560.311 tons of food materials and costing SR 4, 463, 059. The Director of the Bureau of Saudi Red Crescent in Indonesia Abdullah Al-A'amer told SPA that 10 of these containers were already delivered to the Indonesian Red Cross to be distributed among the needy people. He added that a number of projects are under preparation for execution soon. These included a program for the benefit of 500 families at a cost of $ 250, 000; another program of establishing 5 health centers at a cost of $ 1,000,000; a program of mobile clinics for Aceh costing $ 800,000 and a program for re-equipping some medical units at Zein Al-Abedin Hospital costing $ 900,000.
