The Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani gave the okay that the Riyadh-based Saudi Broadcasting station starts transmission on LFM wave that serves listeners in the city of Dammam and its surroundings, effective May 9, 2005. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs Eng. Mohammed bin Ahmed Sahili said the station will transmit the holy Quran Program, General Program and Second Program on LFM wave at a capacity of ten kilowatts per each program on 90, 90.6 and 94.7 mega Hertz frequencies respectively. --SPS 2031 Local Time 1731 GMT
