CSKA Moscow hammered ex-champions Parma 3-0 amid a flare incident to reach the UEFA Cup final as the first club from the Russian capital in event history. Brazilian midfielder Daniel Carvalho scored the first two goals and set up Vassili Berezoutski for the third a week after both teams drew 0-0 in the first leg of the semi-final tie in Italy. CSKA are now bidding to become the first Moscow (and Russian) club to lift a continental trophy of any kind. Dynamo Moscow reached the Cup Winners' Cup final in 1972, losing 3-2 to Glasgow Rangers. In the May 18 final in Lisbon, Valeriy Gazzaev's side meet either Sporting Lisbon or Az Alkmaar, with Sporting taking a slim 2-1 cushion into the return leg in the Netherlands scheduled for later Thursday. Thursday's match was overshadowed by Parma goalkeeper Luca Bucci hit in the head by a flare thrown from the stands 20 minutes into the game. He was injured and had to be replaced by Sebastian Frey. --More 0000 Local Time 2100 GMT
