Colombian authorities arrested two U.S. citizens and three Colombians accused of selling arms to a paramilitary group, police said Wednesday. The director of Colombia's police, General Jorge Castro, said a retired member of the army arrested last weekend led authorities to a tourist location where a munitions cache was found. Police arrested the two U.S. citizens and the two other Colombians after being led to the location, he said. The large munitions cache was found in Carmen de Apicala, in Tolima province, about 80 kilometres southwest of Bogota, DPA reported. Caracol television said the 31,000 bullets were to be sold to a paramilitary group in central Colombia. The paramilitaries are one of the illegal armed groups in Colombia's civil war.
