Gold for current delivery closed at $426.70 per troy ounce on Tuesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, down from $429.50 late Monday, AP reported.
HSBC Bank USA gave a late quote of $426.70, down from
$429.20 Tuesday.
Gold closed in London at $427.40 bid per troy ounce, down
from $435.70 on Friday, the last day of trading before the
May Day holiday.
In Zurich the bid price was $427.33, down from $433.20 on
Monday.
Gold fell US$4.20 an ounce in Hong Kong to close at
US$429.05 .
