Saudi Siamese twins, rushed to King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh from their birthplace, Al-Jubail city, to undergo separation surgery upon orders of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, were dead here yesterday before the scheduled surgery. The Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs Abdullah Al-Rabiah said the medical team in charge of the operation realized, while proceeding medical examinations on the patients, that the doctors agreed not to perform the surgery as the patients share one ailing heart, abdomen, reproductive system, liver and lung. Father of the twins thanked the noble gesture extended by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. -- SPA 2238 Local Time 1938 GMT
