Romanian President Traian Basescu on Monday said he knows "with certainty" that three Romanian journalists kidnapped in Iraq are alive. "I know with certainty that the (three kidnapped Romanian journalists) are alive and authorities are doing all they can to bring them home safely," said Basescu during a visit to the Black Sea port of Constanta, according to a report of the Associated Press. TV reporter Marie-Jeanne Ion, cameraman Sorin Miscoci of Prima TV and reporter Ovidiu Ohanesian from Romania Libera newspaper were kidnapped on March 28 in Baghdad along with their Iraqi-American translator.
