Voting began Sunday in Romanian parliamentary elections, with Prime Minister Victor Ponta's centre Social Liberal Union (USL) the favourite according to opinion polls. The Right Romania Alliance grouped behind Ponta's rival, President Traian Basescu has been tipped to come in second, and the populist TV personality Dan Diaconescu's People's Party third. More than 18 million Romanians are eligible to vote. Polling ends at 9 pm (1900 GMT), according to a report of DPA.
