Eiban underlined the importance of the revival of the peace process in line with the Arab peace initiative, presented by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, adopted by the Arab Summit held in Beirut in 2002, and endorsed by the Arab Summit held in Algeria last month. 'We hope that these efforts will lead to the activation of the Road Map', he said. He also warned against the phenomenon of terrorism, and said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been playing a great role in combating this dangerous phenomenon. He slammed the quarters that try to associate terrorism with Islam. Dr Al-Eiban highlighted the significance of the counter-terrorism conference, held in Riyadh last February, and said the most important resolutions adopted by the conference included adoption of the call of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, to establish an international Counter-terrorism Center.
