Prince General Mit'eb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Deputy Commander of the National Guard for Military Affairs, today conferred military ranks, according to a royal order, upon a number of newly-promoted National Guard officers. The royal order of promotions included 40 officers from brigadier general to major general, 121 from colonel to brigadier general and 13 from lieutenant colonel to colonel. Following the chevron-placing ceremony, Prince Mit'eb thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, and Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, for the valuable trust they bestowed on the national guard officers, congratulating them on their promotions and urging them for more effort to serve the religion and the nation's security and stability. He also congratulated Major General Mohammed bin Faisal Abu-Sag on his appointment as member of the Shoura Council, wishing him every success. The ceremony was attended by chiefs of military commissions and a number of National Guard senior officers.
