The Shoura Council approved, during a session held here today and presided over by chairman Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Homaid, names of chairmen and deputy chairmen of the specialized committees of the council. The council also approved a memorandum of understanding and two agreements between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Yemen for cooperation in different fields between the two sides, Secretary General of the Shoura Council Dr. Salih Almalik said in a statement following the session. The council also agreed on the kingdom's accession to the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, adopted by the UN General Assembly on Feb. 13, 1946, he said. The council also approved Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, the secretary general said.
