The 15th Joint Ministerial committee meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union concluded here today. During the meeting they discussed issues concerning trade and economic domains. Sheikh Mohamed bin Mobarak Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister said in a statement that the ministerial meeting praised cooperation between the two sides in energy fields and the importance of enhancing it. He added that the meeting welcomed the process of peace negotiation between the Palestinians and the Israelis as well as the Iraqi elections. The final statement calls on Iran to accept United Arab Emirates' offer to discuss the three islands conflicts in the International Court of Justice. The ministerial meeting stressed the good relations that reflect cooperation between Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union countries in economic and social fields. -- SPA 2349 Local Time 2049 GMT
