A moderate earthquake shook southeastern Iran early Sunday, injuring at least 24 people, state-run television reported. The broadcast said a 4.1 magnitude earthquake jolted Ravar, 900 kilometers (560 miles) southeast of the capital, Tehran, at about 3 a.m. and slightly injured 24 people who were hospitalized. No heavy damage to property was reported. Iran is located on seismic fault lines and is prone to earthquakes. More than 600 people were killed by a 6.4 magnitude quake that hit central Iran on Feb. 22.
