Saleh Bin Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to India, paid a visit to Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. During the visit he met with the governor of the state, the chief minister, the speaker of the state assembly and a number of ministers of the local government. The government of the state organized a meeting between the ambassador and several Muslim personalities in the official ceremonies hall in Hyderabad. During the gathering, the ambassador conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul-Aziz; Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard and Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General. The ambassador answered the questions on Hajj and Umrah (the minor pilgrimage). He explained the great facilities provided and being provided by the Kingdom to the pilgrims and Umrah performers from all over the Muslim world. He said the Kingdom's government is sparing no effort to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims. He said this is clear from the great expansions of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madina and of the holy sites. On their part, Indian Muslim leaders praised the Kingdom for all the facilities provided to the Muslims worldwide. They requested the ambassador to convey their appreciation to the Saudi leadership and people. During his visit the ambassador met with the media. The ambassador also inaugurated the direct flight of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) to and from Hyderabad with Dr. Khaled Bin Abdullah Bin Bakr, the director general of SAA and a number of senior officials in the airlines.
