Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) announced the addition of a new destination to its expanding international network by inauguration of flights from King Khalid International Airport and King Abdul Aziz Airport to Hyderabad in India. The new route begins operations on March 29 and becomes the fifth station in India including Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin and Delhi, Saudi Gazette reported today. SAA's Director General Khaled Bin Bakr said the new network was taken after comprehensive and scientific studies of the Indian market. "This is considered as experiencing a noticeable increase in the travel movement in Saudi Arabia." India covers a large part of SAA's Asian network. Saudia has carried 548,973 passengers to and from India in 2004. This result is due to the competitive prices and services provided on board. Bin Bakr stated that the number of flights to India will increase to 26 flights a week including two to Hyderabad. There will be 10 flights to Mumbai, six to Delhi, five to Chennai, three to Cochin and two to Hyderabad, he said.
