A Royal approval has been issued for organizing a seminar under the title of 'The Holy Quran in the Oriental Studies' by Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex in the next days. This was announced by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih Al Alsheikh. He noted that the organization of the seminar reflects the great attention given by the Kingdom to the Holy Quran and its sciences. Al Alsheikh pointed out that a number of scholars concerned with the oriental studies from inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate in the seminar. The participants of the seminar will review a number of topics including history of the Quranic studies by orientalists, and modern trends of orientalists in the field of Quarnic studies.
