Shares were mostly lower in Asia in narrow trading Thursday, the Associated Press reported. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 added 0.2% to 28,657.57 and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was virtually unchanged at 7,362.20. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index rose 0.2% to 20,399.89. South Korea's Kospi lost 0.5% to 2,563.11 and the Shanghai Composite index declined 0.2% to 3,362.45. In another trading, benchmark US crude oil slipped 88 cents to $78.36 per barrel. It lost $1.66 to $79.24 per barrel on Wednesday. Brent crude oil lost 86 cents to $82.26 per barrel. The US dollar fell to 134.43 Japanese yen from 134.72 yen. The euro climbed to $1.0970 from $1.0956.
