Four U.S. soldiers have been killed in clashes with insurgents in the western Iraqi province of al-Anbar, the U.S. military said Saturday, as five Iraqis were also reported killed. The U.S. soldiers were killed on Friday, the military said. Four Iraqi soldiers were killed in Duluiyah, south of Samarra, when insurgents lobbed mortar shells from a nearby orchards into an army camp adjacent to the Bakr Airfield used as a U.S. military base. An Iraqi army source said two other soldiers were injured in the attack. An Iraqi civilian died in Latifiyah, 40 kilometres south of Baghdad, when his house was struck by an insurgent mortar intended for an adjacent police station. The man's son and two of his daughters were injured, police said. Four people were injured in Baghdad Saturday when a bomb planted on a parked motorcycle in the neighbourhood of Adhamiya exploded.
