Prince Charles ended his five-day tour of Australia on Saturday in the capital, Canberra. At the city's Australian War Memorial, the prince met with 53 war veterans including Ted Pickerd, 87, who was once the British queen's representative on the Australian territory of Norfolk Island. On Saturday, Charles and Prime Minister John Howard had a 30-minute meeting in the prime minister's official Canberra residence. In keeping with royal protocol, Howard's office would not reveal what was discussed.
