Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who is on an official visit to Beijing, met today with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian. During the meeting, the two officials discussed relations and followed up on the steps to take to implement the agreement the two countries reached in Beijing, which include reopening their respective embassies within a period agreed upon. They also discussed ways to achieve security and prosperity for their countries and peoples. The two officials also said they hoped to increase the number of consultative meetings and discussed prospects of increased cooperation to serve common interests. The two ministers also expressed appreciation to the People's Republic of China for hosting their meeting, which was attended also by Saudi Ambassador to China Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saud Al Sati, and Director General of the minister of foreign's office Abdulrahman Al-Dawood.
