Italy seeks explanations after Iraq killing

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi called on the United States on Friday to explain how U.S. forces in Iraq had killed an Italian agent, saying someone had to take responsibility for the shooting.
Berlusconi told a news conference that the secret service agent was shot dead at a U.S. military checkpoint as he accompanied an Italian journalist who had just been released after a month in captivity. --SP 0005 Local Time 2105 GMT
