Hundreds of thousands of worshippers visit the Prophet's Holy Mosque in a few hours every day during the Holy Month of Ramadan, helped by very careful organisational efforts to facilitate their entry into the mosque through 60 main and secondary corridors. The careful organisation will ensure their safety, prevent overcrowding and scrambling, and monitor the distribution of crowds to the prayer spaces in the old mosque, expansions and squares in the men's and women's sections. The Agency of the General Presidency of the Affairs of the Prophet's Holy Mosque attaches great importance to facilitating the movement of crowds in coordination with security agencies, to ensure smooth entry and exit to and from the Prophet's Holy Mosque, in accordance with an executive plan to manage crowds and to deal with big numbers of visitors with professionalism to ensure the safety of worshippers; it does so through qualified cadres trained to help visitors to the mosque and cater to their need to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility. The General Directorate of Crowds, at the Agency of the General Presidency of the Affairs of the Prophet's Holy Mosque, guides worshippers and visitors to praying areas in the Prophet's Holy Mosque courtyards and facilitates their access through the internal and external corridors; there are more than 38 main corridors, 14 secondary corridors, and eight emergency corridors, to ensure that worshippers are dispatched easily. After the mosque reaches its full capacity, corridors open to the outdoor praying areas .
